No he never loaded it to his car and has since sold it anyway - belongs to a third party now I think

Money back is looking the best option, ill never buy another without testing it, Looking at Sniper now anyway - Anyone know who can tune in Adelaide - only grabbed this X3 as it as cheap and had intended to go the sniper before I found this

If I can find a few mates that want tunes as well the sniper may work out a decent price, FYI the X3 was intended for my SY Terri Turbo not a standard Terri :-)

**Edit - saw the post about those american X3's, at least he fessed up about it

I have heard of his rep but wasnt sure if it was only for sct or not, may look into the vcm as well as I really only interested in having the one 98 tune and not changing all the time, since its awd only thing that concerns me it that it could have a fat fuel trim out of bruce's as no 4wd dyno

Thinking about 60lb siemens as well but then its a mater of where to stop, at the moment the TT is stock except a exhaust debung / CAI & Filter and as making 185kw

Hi guys,

I'm looking into getting an Xcal 3, but probably NEW from a Tuner, but I was wondering why are we in AUS paying double for one of these when in the US you can get them for like half the price.....seems like the main distributor/licensee is making a packet on these? Any thoughts?

and then I would still have to pay for some generic tunes to be loaded ? worst case scenario

Well someone is making a packet...unless the U.S like screwing us? Doesn't make business sense though.

As I understand it.... if the tune is put back to stock on an existing vehicle with the Xcal, then the Xcal is unlocked/free to use on the next car, with 1 life less(5 in total)? Is that the jist of it? Or does it still need some form of unlocking? I thought they were VIN locked when your purchase one new from a Tuner/distributor?

Why doesn't it make business sense? Ever compared a Microsoft product retail price in the states vs retail here?

We are getting screwed on more than xcals.
