I believe that somewhere down the line, BF's or FG's received a smaller filter which had a different size thread to spin onto. If you want to ensure that you are getting the correct sandwich plate, hop under your car and check for a part number on your oil filter, then cross reference that part number with the one in the description of the sandwich plate that you are looking at.
