cdm Member 886 Member For: 22y 2m 11d Posted 07/01/04 12:04 PM Share Posted 07/01/04 12:04 PM Ok. So there are the pics. Heres all the info I got.It is a mechanical gauge with all parts needed to install the gauge. The gauge illuminates the same colour as the other instruments. They need to know how many of the cars are manual and auto's. The only tools needed for install are:a stumpy flat bladed screwdriverPliersSidecuttersAnd a DrillThe gauges retail at $395inc.I have asked the following questions:Do you offer a gauge that goes up to 15psi and/or 20psi as a lot of the modifications people are getting utilise these pressures, if so, is it the same price? How accurate is the gauge? Could the gauge be installed by a layman and if so, how long would it take? Can you offer any other gauges to fit in the same space for the NA XR6, I.e. voltage or oil pressure? Are you willing to offer a group discount and if so, how much? What price can you offer for approximately 10 -15 gauges? For those unable, or unwilling to install the gauge themselves can you fit it for them, and if so, how much would you charge?Cheers, Chris
cdm Member 886 Member For: 22y 2m 11d Posted 07/01/04 12:32 PM Share Posted 07/01/04 12:32 PM And the response (summarised). They do make a 0-15psi gauge (no vac) but have not done a 0-20psi gauge due to cost and lack of demand. Accuracy is just as good as any other on the market and they are individually tested when made. The kit comes with simple pictured installation instructions and takes any where between 15 to 30 mins to install. They can install if needed for $33. Quantity purchases are available at a lower cost, POA.So there we have it! $395 is a bit steep for me however depending on how many people are interested we should be able to come up with some kind of deal. Lets see what we can get the price down to for a decent group buy.
