Sup fellas, seems I snapped my Tailshaft at the drags last night. BA t56 sedan.. Tossing up my options as how to fix it. There's a genuine ford unused BF xr6t manual sedan shaft on eBay for $700. Wanna know if being a BF shaft will it bolt on or no chance.. Or modified to fit?

Cheers

Yeah I think built shaft is what I'll do. Spoke to a place today and they said budget $2000 for changing the front flange to a uni. Chromoly tubes. Stronger centre uni. Larger centre bearing. Reckons I'll have change from $2000.... Sound ball park right?

$1150 sounds better than 2k Josh! If you could find a stocker for under $500 maybe it would be worth it but if it's only a bit over a grand for aftermarket...

Hope you get it sorted out soon either way mate! Still yet to see the paint job :)

I'd get you standard shaft rebuilt Josh, it failed because it's 10yrs old and was covered in more rust than the outside of a submarine..... Ba shafts are generally considered stronger than BF shafts so I would get the front coupling replaced, get the shaft cleaned and inspected, centre bearing and uni replaced and then play on.
