Warping a cast manifold...... Really ? no fatigue cracks from the around either of the flange's ??? Can you see the deformation by eye ?

You could also bolt your standard manifold down to some thick C-channel and heat it up, let it cool and it should be straight again.

xyz if u got the low mount sling me a pm so we can talk

yup managed to warp the chit out of the stock cast manifold, had the tractor sound comming from the flange section so I tore it apart and sent it to ATS to have the flanged section faced and the rear housing on the turbo faced aswell but when we put a straight edge on the runners the 3/4 were flat but it bananed out towards strut tower so runner 2/5 were a coupla mm out but 1/6 were close to 7mm out

so in love of the old FT torque method I started by tightening the 1/6 runner and worked in and cranked the chit out of those beaudiful ally threads in the head lol

so far all good but I know if it has to come off again those threads will be cactus

no cracking on the manifold or webbing and the bloke from adelaide turbo services was amazed that they were so warped

I prefer the look of low mount too. Shows off the design better.

Here's a low mount, GTX3582r, T4 1.06 rear and 60mm TS gate.

When I can be ar$ed and Wiggum can be ar$ed firing up his TIG again......it might actually get bolted to my $hitbox.

Jet were you running e85 or 98? I'd be curious as to what your timing curve looked like at WOT.

Yeah a PITA compared to a direct replacement mani. Wiggum was talking about welding up a replacement log style manifold once upon a time. I think snort performance make replacement log style manifolds....but not sure that the design would be better (or stronger) than an FG. The Tunehouse manifold looks horn...bit different design to my low mount.
