It wont happen while ever the GT/GT-P sit at 290kws.

They wouldn't release it until they lift the bar on the FPV's hero car the GT/GT-P to comfortably in excess of 300kws.

To FPV/Ford it doesn't make good marketing sense to do otherwise.

How about the Adelaide dealership which is looking for an underwriter so thay can provide warranty for the supercharged Boss GT (420 kW) and the Nizpro modified XR6T's (350kW)

Not factory built, but if a warranty is supplied, and dealership supported, its a damn good package! :finger::finger:<_<

I couldn't agree with more but believe the BOSS 290 is at its limit without of coarse going the supercharger route?

I would have thought that the Ford guys would have enough smarts to build an engine with plenty of potential in it without bolt on mods considering it's only a new engine in development terms.

It's not entirely impossible as we know APS have crazy HP xr6t's a friend of mine leaked me some information (he's was a engineer on the xr6t project) and the test cars they had down there all ran 16-18psi turbo-charged engines and made upwards of 300kw+

who knows maybe one of these things got detuned and accidently sold as a street car 2nd hand :)

Regarding the Targa cars, there were two.

One was totally stock in the engine department but fixed up a bit in brakes and suspension.

The other was modified in all areas but not overly so.

They both performed very well, in particular, the standard engined one which did sucumb to a dead engine eventually due to a failed water pump and constant overheating due to the team pressing on at all costs. At several stages, this T blew it competition to the weeds. (including porsche etc)

The "Motor" article made for tremendous reading and I reckon that this years Targa is going to open a few eyes for T devotees.

I cant wait..........
