Mine is tucked away inside the centre console bin.

My biggest gripe is that there is no relationship between the set point value and actual boost pressue. The SP is the wastegate solenoid duty cycle yet wastegate locking and overboost shut down are a function of boost pressure.

My point is 15psi is not 15psi Set Point, it could be an SP of 22=15psi. The system has the ability to function in a semi closed loop fashion (you can set an overboost function that will cut wastegate duty cycle until the boost pressure drops to half of the over boost value so I cannot see what they firmware couldn't be updated to make the boost setpoint an actual PSI function not a set point

Maybe I should ring Turbosmart...??

Thanks for that Ralphy, you can set the psi in live mode though I guess, just seems dodgy doing it whilst driving. I agree it should be logical as you explained. Maybe when they update to something like the new Greedy profec - http://www.greddy.com/products/electronics/profec/

I like the boost map feature, you can see spikes etc a bit easier.

Anyway I think Eboost is still the leader, ordered mine today :bliss:

4 port solenoids are used to run a wide range of boost pressures and are usually used with soft springs.....I.e. 7psi spring could run between 7psi and 25+psi for example. A 4 port connection running twin 14psi springs/gates and only wishing to run 21psi is not ideal in my opinion, however your dynograph is good. Even Turbosmart state that this set-up 'has varying degrees of success'!! But in the end of the day if you are maintaining your desired boost and you're never over-boosting, then happy days!

I did see this on there e-boost pfd, witch I thought was funny..

definatly not worried about it, infact I prefer them to stay closed as long as possible.. another benefit is its not the quietest on the road when open haha
