Even if the 2 coils are fine now. By the look of that corrosion the spring that's in the lower part of the coil could be corroded. Thin springs like that in the coils could break when corroded. With the kms you have at the moment. Coils are due for replacement soon anyway.

If/when ya do your plugs dont forget to give your throttle body abit of a spruce up with some carby cleaner and also check all your manifold bolts are tight.

You'll need a 10mm spanner also in 1/4 socket for the intake side and 13mm for the exhaust manifold and 14mm for the 4 bolts that hold the turbo on.

If ya have a normal socket set with the 150mm bar and the felxy bit you'll be able to get the bottom right bolt of the 4 bolts that holds the turbo on.

Im pretty sure the bolts that hold the dump pipe onto the turbo are 13mm's but they could be 14's cant really remember on the stockaz.

Pretty sure the throttle body needs a 5mm alan key to get it off. Up to you if ya wanna buy another gasket for the throttle body ya should be able to get it off without tearing.

Do that and your coils and you'll be all good ;) if ya cbf of course LOL.

A new set of plugs fixed mine on the weekend, I also noticed a couple of the coil packs were missing that rubber bit placed on top to hold them down under the plastic cover. If the problem returns, I will be replacing coil packs for sure as they looked like original factory items. Can anyone confirm if factory BA coil packs are 'Visteon' brand?
