hey guys, just thought I'd post a thread asking some opinions on what a rattle under what appears to be the rocker cover up the front (on the red part.) it seems to only happen when the engine is hot and I've been feeding it a bit of boost. I did the screw driver trick (good one that) and it's almost certainly coming from under the cover. Noisy chain or something, perhaps it's a bit loose? It comes and goes periodically. It's due for an oil change as I think last service they just gave me Magnatec. I'll try better oil when I get paid on Thursday and see if it keeps doing it. Should I try maybe a thicker oil? Or just stick with the 10w-40 stuff? Car behaves perfectly normal and doesn't seem to be having an ill effects other than a subtle rattle. Only audible when im pulling the car into the garage where all the sound is bouncing off the walls.

cheers guys

I had the same issue swore blind it was from the rocker cover it turned out to be a pulley. only did it when hot and only periodically. Took the tuner 2 days for it to make the noise for him but changed the pulley never made the sound again
