Ford can read how many times the pcm has been flashed... Few threads on this do a search... As far as the growler goes I doubt youl have an issue unless it can be directly contributed to the growler itself.

IMHO unless you can get one cheap don't bother with the growler on an FG. Just get a K&N filter for the standard CAI. Without a tune it won't make a big difference to performance and with the standard intake muffler on you won't get a great deal more induction noise either.

Guys,

I have a 4inch, cat back xforce system.

Power after tune is great.

But holy sh*t does it drone all day long. I didn't realise how it would ruin my driving experience.

Any suggestions on how to improve on this drone?

I have contacted x-force an they tell me there is a hotdog resonator I can add.

Is this the right thing to do?

Or should I scrap the whole thing?

Thanks for your help

what would be the point of removing the rear muffler anyway? Power increase would likely be very minimal with that + that weired drone sound will be added imo.

^^ can't knock it till you try it. I don't think anyone does it for power gain (although impellor seems to think there is a gain to be had). And you only get drone a particular point in the rev range and the car never sits at those revs.

My rear muffler delete sounds better than some catback systems

True - I guess you gotta try it to know for sure. Same with brakes and pads. Good thing the bits and pieces we are talking about are not that expensive to try! Do like the sound of my standard exhaust - does not drone at all.

By the way, a big 6 cylinder WITH turbo sounds completely different to a 3.6 an Late model camira 6. If its manual, cut the f***er out.
