What a pain in the ass problem & to have it start after leaving Ford dealership is a sh!tgo... earlier this year I was taking my car for a berl up Mac Pass, but at the very bottom I lost the speedo & the car was hitting boost cut way to early at like 3500rpm every gear. Turned it off at the top, started it, never had a problem since!

I wouldn't have let Ford get away with giving you the cold shoulder mate. They were the last people to play with the computer before all this!

Goodluck with it

according to the gregorys manual abs models (didnt realise there was a non abs model) use wheel speed sensors but my ford knowledge is about as good as what ive read in the manual.

after 5 phone calls and a very angry visit ford have agreed to look at it wednesday free of charge until they can verify it wasnt there fault. (I bet they verify that quick)

my brother has reminded me just this morning that before the car went to ford (while it wasnt starting) for the last error we removed the icc to run boost gauge line. is it possible I havent plugged it back in correctly and its not getting the info from speed sensor correctly.

Even early 4 speed sedans dont have a speedo transducer in the box, only ba utes have one

BA ABS light on - Speedo not working -

Transmission shifting erratically

Check collar on the rear axle as it is known to move. If it has moved, the distance

between the ABS sensor & reductor will be increased, causing the faults

Just copied this from a fault sheet. May or may not help

thanks turbotrana.

the abs light isnt on but other stuff does sound right ill look into it.

car has gone to ford today and they have said the pcm is fooked, now im finding that hard to believe as

1. it lets me flash tune it

2. auto elecy mate used his snap on obd2 scanner and he said everything is sending and working properly.

3. the reseting computer and relearn idle steps work properly, if it was faulty I dont see how this could work.

4. other than the speed sensor error and vid block programming error the car runs as expected.

5. apparently this is a common ford excuse to fix all problems

thoughts on the matter?

id rather let it burn in a paddock than shell out more thousands

P0602 - Control Module Programming Error

This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) indicates programming error within Vehicle ID block (VID).

VID data corrupted by the scan tool during VID reprogramming

Using the scan tool, reprogram the VID block. If PCM does not allow reprogramming of the VID block, reflashing PCM will be required.

this is my error code, which leads me to believe ford dealer should accept responibility?

If ford only did an acm program for te audio code it will hae nothing to do with them, acm programming doesnt touch the pcm program. Sounds like something wrong with your flash tuner
