Hey 'Hoon,

Being a Ford 'Nut' I thought you would have known that!

But, being ever ready to help a fellow Forum Poster, these are the differences I know about.

7 spoke wheels.

Leather interior (with the silly thigh supports that will probably collapse after a couple of years).

Brembo brakes.

Prestige Sound (not premium)

Sports Steering wheel.

Auto (NCO)

Stripes (NCO)

Automatic Headlights ??

Chrome grill (Black in the GT looks better)

Solid bar across lower grill (slotted in GT  )

Apart from the Brembo brakes can't see the reason for opting for a GT-P personally.

Oh, for the price, slap another $10k on the base GT price.

For all the extras go th the Ford web site and look at FPV virtual catalogue.

Hawkie summed it up pretty well, the only other thing l can think of is climate control for the GT-P.

The Brembos are a $6k option on the GT, but you have to add 25% LCT to that so they end up being near enough to an 8 grand option by the time you pay stamp duty as well. If you want Brembos, the GT-P is a relative bargain at 10 grand over a GT, if you dont want the Brembos then there inst really 10 grand of extra value.

Well that's something I had always wondered! Why have some GT bars got solid lower sections and some are slotted!

You learn something everyday!

No, I don't think so Daz. Nice lookiing cars, go well (not a lot quicker than XR6T though...) but even if I had the money I couldn't justify another $20K. Maybe one day in a few years when there are a few on the second-hand market at a reduced price, but I'm spoilt now having owned my first new car, I don't know if I could go 'backwards' to a second-hand one.

if I had the money, I'd buy a GT-P over the GT. I think the GT-P is just a more luxurious version of the GT.
