I know you have to between 18" and 16" so I assume you would have to get it done. I can't see why you should have to. The difference in the rolling diameter between 215/60/16 and 245/40/18 tyres is negligible. Same goes for 245/35/19. Legally, you could even put 20x8.5 rims on your car with 255/35/20 rubber! heheAnyway, my speedo is pretty much spot on with 19s, although it was out of whack with both 15s and 17s.I'm sitting here and thinking: you poor bastards! hehe My Falken 245/35/19 tyres cost me less than what most of you pay for a set of 245/40/18 tyres! Not that I'm rubbing it in, just making an observation. hehe

The dealer advised the following prices, also stating that you won't get them much cheaper as the markup is relatively small.SP3000 235/45 ZR17 @ $282 eachSP9000 235/45 ZR17 @ $415 eachSP9000 245/40 ZR18 @ $580 eachDunlop do not make a 18 inch tyre with a SP3000 rating, so for 18 inch wheels your onlt option is the SP9000 245/40 ZR18. The local dunlop dealer also advised that not all tyre places have the facilities to change tyres (in case of a punture) for the 18 inch wheels of this width!
