yep 320rwkw still the smaller fg turbo at 18psi

Chit I was tossing up whether to stick to the PW stepped or stage 2. Looking at going for 300 on 98 then 330-340 on eflex. Looks like I need to reconsider my options then. Hopefully Kev can chime in here and reconfirm that the stage 2 should be safe at 320 lol

Nah man 320 is gunna be fine... The stepped outshines te PWR and they are good for about 320. When I was talking to Kev about it he said he made them to easily cope with maxing out the standard huffer.

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a very efficient Intercooler for my FG XR6 Turbo.

Basically For a given size, I want the best cooling/flow as I'm not chasing huge power,

so the goal is to keep the air cool well on hotter days so the performance doesn't drop too much compared to colder days.

I don't want to have to be cutting any chassis or bumpers etc.

Was thinking just to upgrade to a F6 Intercooler seems about 20% Larger

Has there been any back back tests done comparing different intercoolers or has anybody done some testing themselves?

Thanks.

Plazmaman! I have personally had vehicles with both bar and plate and T & Fin. After experiencing the power delivery of the tube and fin I will never go back to the other B&P. I have a Plazmaman T & Fin IC on my car and when Spiro from Autotechnique tuned it, he was surprised as it made more power than his. My car is a BF F6 and it made 395RWKW at 17 PSI with the Plazmanan T & Fin IC, standard turbo (with waste gate modded), 4 inch inlet, standard valve springs and an unopened motor. After a drive, I can pull over and touch my IC and it feels like ice. Plazmaman does have the exact same chinese bar and plate range of intercoolers as PW, but at almost half the price, so either way from Plazmaman you do it properly and inexpensively or you can do it really cheap. I would not recommend anybody else. Period.

I just dont no whose cooler is better all I no is tube and fin coolers are lighter then bar and plate I have a plazmaman 1000hp kit and f*ck it gets hot after a few runs 32 degree day my intake temps go up to 60 degree c but on the highway I get a average of 35 degree c on a 30 degree day im no expert on coolers that's why I want solid evidence. on a 32 degree day back to back runs whats temps should I be at with alot of stop starting in the staging lanes does 60 sound right?

My understanding is tube and fin flows more than bar and plate.

Bar and plate cools better than tune and fin.

I'd rather bar and plate.

Absolutely nothing wrong with those air temps at the end of a run for a 32 degree day and 5 degrees above ambient on the highway is fine. If you're thrashing your car hit for hit on the street in that sort of weather though, you have to expect higher temps....and hope your tune is one the money if you aren't on ethanol.
