Why would the air coming back cause any bad effects.BOV's were used on cars that had airflow meters to stop the air flowing back passed the meter and fooling it to deliver more fuel. These cars don't run air flow meters so a BOV isn't really required. They have one to keep everything nice and civilised for the people that want a normal car and not a fully sik dose machine.
