BA XR6 TURBO

hey guys,

after I boot my car a bit then come to a stop my revs plunge to 500rpm and feels like its gnu stall.

any ideas what it could be?

Maybe valve springs mine did it after WOT and coming to a complete stop it would idle really rough for a bit then clear

that's exactly it

and when I turn my car of my turbo is like loud spooling down.... grinding

The turbo will make a spooling down noise but it shouldn't be very loud. If it sounds like its grinding you are up for a new turbo. You should take a vid and post it here so we can listen.

The first problem is probably valve springs. But like any Internet diagnosis we are only guessing.

The noise in that vid sounds a little excessive but unless I hear it in real life I wont know as the vid is amplifying te noise, some noise on shut off is completely normal but when you start hearing ting ting ting sounds that's when you know for sure, mine was just as noisy as this vid but could hear the turbine wheel slightly touching the housing as the shaft had excessive movement. Keep some dough aside for. Rebuild or buy a GTX from joe!! Best 1600 youl ever spend
