Then do this really super technical thing

Run it for a while and look at it..... U know make sure its not leaking

Here is another tip ( not so technical ) remove the rear heat shield so u can get the spanner in to the core and reduce the risk of rounding the nut, it helps a fair bit ;)

So the bottom but doesn't screw all the way in but it has come end so I assume that is the mechanical seal. Next problem is how the hell do you tighten the feed line in that space

Only a lot easier. It can't be done up without taking the shield off. Obviously my mechanic didn't want the hassle of doing that.

No leaks so far
