Looks like it may have fixed the acceleration issue but not the slow down to 1st change. They sighted Idler & tensioner pulleys for the Whine and the idle tick. These have been replaced to but both noises persist. My last FG Falcon was the 5 speed and I never had anything like this changing to 1st. I assume this is not normal. Any ideas? BUT I assume the jolt on acceleration isnt normal?

old_mate Member 767 Member For: 18y 9m 16d Gender: Male Location: Brisbane Posted 23/10/12 06:26 AM Share Posted 23/10/12 06:26 AM I have also occasionally found when driving like your grandma's mother the ZF likes to remain in 2nd when stopping (which is good - no lurch into first)Then when I decide to be less *beep* and stand on it from that stopping position, the ZF drops back to first and causes a minor driveline jolt.I have a nolathane diff bush which Jesus will hopefully replace soon, I can fart and the driveline clunks. I got the oil dropped and new filter, gasket etc and hasn't done it since. That was about 2500-3000klm ago now. If you have a steel pan I'd imagine around about $400-$500. If it's plastic probably a little more. That's an option, or just have to drive around it. Or like Bionic said, drive in manual mode. First gear is rubbish anyway in my opinion.
