There is also a possibility that blending will be required to do it properly. If that's the case I'd look at the insurance path. Better talk to a panel beater first though.

Pics?

If the paints fairly new and looked after then you might be able to sand back most of the area and sort of blend it in without doing the entire quarter. But in saying that you can often see the difference when you look closely. As paulie said maybe hit up insurance.

Did you do the guards yourself? the guys who pumped my guards did them slowly and at the first not of the paint cracking they pulled out and saved it before it was too late

What colour is the car? - Post some pics up! - I would say more than likely you will need to do the whole qtr and it will need to be done properly. So sanding out the cracked paint, hazing on abit of colour, then clearing the whole qtr panel and cant rail panel so there are no dry edges. If you trying doing a little blend it will look junk and ending up coming back up.

regardless of the colour, you should be able to get out of it for around $500.00 - $700.00 depending on the shop.

Ryan, insurance probably wont cover it as it is now, you would need to *wink* accidentally *wink* damage it a bit more. If your excess is low its probably the way to go.
