Seriously its done mate the damage ...... Dont matter now

So start the car ..... Let it idle .... Check the noise against rpm if it goes up and down with rpm ..... your best part phucked

If it goes away with rpm but back at idle , your still up a creek with flex plate but not as costly

Next time , cause I see it being a next time do at least 5000kms on a new donk

Why do u think they ( tuners ) give a run in tune to a new build customer ?

Bearings need to bed in hence the mineral oil put into the donk

No point now, I figured if it was something easy to fix I might give it a crack. but seeing as it's probably not I will just get it towed in and looked at. and there it can sit until it is fixed. With any luck I might be able to get some of it under warranty...

hate to burst bubbles but working in a ford dealer previously even my cars(as an employee) had to have an ecu sent back for big warranty... engine or flex plate both 99.9% require ecu never have been flashed...

at least that's what happened to every customer or staff member I ever experienced...

no someone who bought a new f6 spent over 400k on cars at that dealership previously and best mates with the dp... did a flex plate at 700kms... ecu got sent back he got nailed like freakys mum...

hope it's different for u

Iv worked for ford for 7 years and have never seen an ecu sent back to melbourne, sometimes if they are really sus they will send a service ops consultant out with an oracle and read the flash counter and physically go over the vehicle. Had a gt break a tailshaft the other day and they sent a SOC out for that one.

really wow... here I know in the group of yards I worked in all o us it was a very common occurrence...

didn't start happening much until late bf...

then they cracked hard... I reckon every xr6t popped donk got sent back with em before any work was authorised at all... same with flex plates...

ah well. I will call my local ford joint and find out what I should do. I know I cant afford a new engine, not sure what a flex plate is worth installed. I'm guessing there's no point throwing a standard one back in it though.

Weve done plenty of fg motors under warranty, none required ecus to be sent back, the prior approval process requires you declare mods to the car, which is where we can be lenient to an extent. Had an fg n/a ute with a bottom end knock, growler and full exhaust with spotless service history, told ford about mods, new engine no questions asked.

Right now I have an fg xr6 ute all the berings are roooooted number 4 is almost non existent, customer always went over services by 5k and upto 15k on one service, ford said get stuffed. Customer threatened legal. Ford said bring it on
