The turbos on xr6s overboosts because the Wastegate can't get rid if gases quick enough with a bigger exhaust. You nee to port the wastegat and get a bigger flapper, may as well change your actuator too.

You will need to port the exhaust housing (wastegate) so that more boost can be bled because the dump will flow a lot better causing the turbo to be over efficient.

Change the actuator if you are going to do it.

dont need to port the turbo, just get the actuator and have it tuned to keep the boost where you want it.

I havent gone down the ported turbo route yet, cbf taking it off now the bolts are staying tight... :roflmbo:

What model is it?

I dunno why but there was a lot of porting and flapper mods on B series but I haven't really heard much of guys in FG's doing turbo mods with dump pipe? Has this got something to do with the smaller turbo?
