I will bring my laptop and then can see if its a similar problem to mine. turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 22y 1m 4d Gender: Male Posted 29/10/12 09:27 AM Share Posted 29/10/12 09:27 AM I reduced the VSS that adaptive spark idle control comes in to 0kph (from 5kph) and that helped somewhat. Still not a fix though, just a fudge. Also he wanted to check if the problem persists or goes away. I guess he is trying to verify if the fault is from the factory program or a result of the tune. So far the car has not missed a beat (since returning to stock). I will do some more driving to ensure all is ok with the return to stock and let you all know. He also checked the Ford data base to see if there was an update for my vehicle - no update available- it is running the latest software. I have certainly seen a few cars with unnoticed existing issues that became apparent after a tune. There must be a reason some of us have no issues and some have lots? He was looking at fuel trims and some other stuff. He kept making adjustments to the tune and then flash it in and then stream the data again. This went on for several hours - for no result as previously posted. There was one setting in particular he was adjusting - he said according to ford it should read -0.05 or -0.5 cant remember. This particular parameter kept getting closer to the desired number after every adjustment and reflash (he was adding %'s of air) to the low rpm range in drive 550 to 650 - but never quite got there. He was concerned he was getting too far away from the factory settings and did not know why he had to add so much air to get this number down. That is about all I can remember. He said he would continue to look through the programming to hopefully find a remedy - but I do not think this is imminent. Since having the factory injectors and factory tune put back in the car has been perfect.
