The car ran perfectly prior to the tune and mods - So I am guessing the car is mechanically sound. He just emailed me to say he has a new tune to try. It will go in Early next week. I will keep you posted.

What's with the constant reference to diff bush? I have seen it all over the forum.

Diff bush can have a big affect on iidle, valve float, transmission flaring, and sexual preference amongst other things. Science can't explain the phenomenon.

I love it!

What about indicator fluid and, and , and...

Boring answer is diff bushes die constantly on these cars from BA on. So common in fact that those of us who been shafted by this either through ownership woes or being the bloke who fixes it like Ralph aka Bush Doctor have taken to blaming it for everything. It makes us feel better. Kind of like how Steady Eddy the comedian jokes about the fact he's got cerebral palsy.

I even had an unkillable Superpro diff bush die on me after a month. Was replaced under warranty (top company! Also +1 WA Suspension) but still...BF = backend's farked!

Back on topic...good luck having it retuned, if you see Simon tell him Steve says hi and when is the charity dyno day :P

My car has done this since tuned almost 3 years ago. It seems to do it though in very distinct spots. For example the same intersection I pass through every morning. I Thought it could be a fueling issue and due to my idling to a halt on a down slope and running a surge tank that it just stalled. Now my bosch 044 is dead and all this info has me stuffed!!

If anyone ever figures this out let me know as 3 years of driving a practically new car that stalls has started to sh*t me.

What month and year is yours wingnut. You wouldn't be able to get software and hardware codes from the drivers side door jamb. Looks like thispost-822-0-18405800-1350991706_thumb.jpg

May pose some light as might be certain software that is affected.

It would be good if anyone with this problem could post these details

if everything was good prior mods & your've replaced injectors IMO the scales are not right look at trims & instant L/H on the dash, if its to low you'll get a lean mis-fire, slight popping in the exhaust at idle, this could also be plug gaps if there to close or bigger exhuast pipe, you really need to listen to the note... but fuel trims is where I'd start

I dataloged a 2011 FG n/a. They dont seem to have spark source codes on this software indicating a change in the way the spark is controlled. When I tuned my aftermarket ECUs I had one spark map and with a stock cam it was no problem getting a stable idle, Ford maybe overcomplicated it having 13 tables. Or could it be that 13 is an unlucky number and is the source of the problem.

Anyway those with the problem, post up your software/hardware tags. At the slow rate this info is comming forward it looks like it will be about 10 years before a solution is found

Saw my tuner today - he worked on the car for several hours - he made some minor adjustments to the low slope, idle in drive - added about 3% more air - 550 to 650 RMP range, minor adjustment to dashpot decay rate (slowed the rate of decay). The car seemed to drive well while road testing the vehicle. However on the trip home the car's idle in drive became erratic and it started to dip again. Any more ideas??

Question: is it possible to load a complete later version of an F6 program - altering the turbo settings for the smaller turbo?
