Steve got godawful TRI-ACE Carrera's on the phoon wheels he bought from me, He's one upped me though, The 17's he gave me have some woeful chinese crap tyres.

A stock car should not be able to turn the tyres in 3rd in the wet. But mine can!

#liquidhorsepower

Whatever the cheap Falken's the original owner of my old XR6T put on it before he sold it to me were, they did this. Would spin coming on boost in a straight line in third or fourth in the wet...even with traction control on and stock car...was farken scary at times... Edited by .Stripes.

255 35 18 189inc GST

245 40 18 179inc GST

Steve, what profile do the B series run from factory on 18" rim?

The 255/35 is about 20mm smaller in diameter compared to the 245/40.

The ATR2's are pretty good and I am pretty happy with mine thus far.

Nexen N6000's have got to be some of the best value for money tyres going. 160 each fitted for 19x245x35s. Ive had 2 sets of rears and 1 set of fronts. Grip is excellent for 2/3 of their life then they turn to liquidhorsepower for the rest as described above.

Which is fine by me.

Yep I put N6000 on the wifes BF 245/35/19. They work well.

Steve just stick with 245/40/18

The bloke is getting both in and wasn't super keen on the 255s (thought they might rub) so maybe I'll try on the 245s first and just go with that. Grip levels can only go up from here lemme tell ya!

Good point about the diameter loss. Wonder if I call first thing if I can get him to grab 255 40 18 instead for the rears...should have paid closer attention to the willtheyfit.com page, was in a rush as lunch break was well and truly over!

Steve, please save yourself the hassle. dont get the atr sports 2. I got them and I will be getting something else soon.

I only got 16k out of them and they are shocking in the wet. In the dry the are a great tyre.

I might try these N6000 tires out. at the time it was between n6000 and the atr sports 2.

I'm surprised the Michelin PSS wasn't in that mix. Pretty rowdy tyre from everything I've heard.

I knew someone from WA had said they were not good! I'll see how they go I guess. If they are really shocking I'll either enjoy flogging them hard and replace with Invos from Taleb or sell em off ASAP and take the hit to the hip pocket, and buy Invos ASAP, hahaha.

I originally was going to buy the achilles 2 but the supplier was out so got the nexen nfera su1 instead and very happy so far. If I get right under it in first it will spin with 300rwkw but 2nd grips well. 300 treadwear so should last a fair while aswell
