You'll be looking at a few hundred difference for front shocks between Monroes and Bilsteins. Don't utes still run rear shocks? Rears are ridiculously easy to change, its the fronts that need spring clamps etc to change.

And if you go Monroe make sure you go GT sport, not GT gas. The sport is a much better product

Just wanting to change the fronts as one is busted - I'll get it dropped in some time this week and let you all know what I went with.

thank you

I bought the Monroe Sport lowered shocks earlier this year with ssl kings front and sssl rears and in the last week my front right shock has let go.

If you like any sort of handling around corners I'd got the Biltein's as I thought the Monroe's were crap.

If you're not going too low and are just after a replacement shock then the Monroe's will be fine.

Monroe's are around $200 for the front pair where as Biltein's are around $500-$600 for a pair.

My brother picked the ute up on friday from the suspension place. Came to $1100 with a bit of other work done to the front end eg. bushes. So am happy with that.

Haven't had a chance to try it out though but will be wicked I'd imagine :D
