Robbo Member 249 Member For: 22y 2m 2d Location: Sydney Posted 06/02/03 09:33 PM Share Posted 06/02/03 09:33 PM I'm probably a little older than you fellas ... I had an Escort RS2000 with wheels similar to these back in the 80's. A bit of nostalgia on my part.

Charliewool Member 375 Member For: 22y 12d Location: Melbourne Posted 22/02/03 01:13 PM Share Posted 22/02/03 01:13 PM I went out on a limb last year and put 18's on my ute...And went for Advanti stalkers, With Falken rubber!.. Heaps of regrets ... I mean, I'm willing to pay 4, 5, 6 hundred a rim & then go with "oh ok, Falkens", as the Bob Jane guy said.. "they are a good tyre , wear good, great in the wet, etc". BULLsh*t!.. MATE,They wern't even directionals. Next time, I go tyre 1st!!.. Rim 2nd!..In the wet I drive like "Aunt Alice" going to church( until I finish my advanced , 3rd tier senior advanced, Dick Johnson snow & blizzard conditions driving course!!... They are sh*t!... Got the dunlop 3000's on the XR6T.. & I'm like Peter Brocks wife in that Ad on tele!... what I'm saying is,,, Don't let the "glitter & glamour" of the rim be confused with what sorta rubber you need, or should be using! The Falkens were ZE-326's... But for the bucks.......NEVER again!,,,( then I suppose we HAVE come a long way from the old BF Goodrich TA radial days? )
turbo_nick some guy... Member 277 Member For: 22y 3m 20d Posted 23/02/03 08:03 AM Share Posted 23/02/03 08:03 AM I've got Falken 512s (two big grooves) and I'm pretty damned happy with them. It really does depend on the tread pattern. There's also 326s and 112s and I'd never get those...
