Seems as though my 6spd auto keeps having issues so its time to get it checked, fixed then sold.

For me the 6spd dosent cut it as I do enjoy the 1/4 mile occasionally.

I was speaking to my tuner regarding auto's and he mentioned a turbo 400 3 speed. I know id have to change my diff gears also as the 6spd runs a 2.7 rear. A few mates were also mentioning 2 spd glides, stalls etc

What are the pro's and cons of both autos, transbrakes, stalls and all of the above. if u have any of the above please hit this thread up.

Thanks

Tony

kewish auto's built it 18 months ago, their" full monty rated to 450rwkw build" had a few isues with it in the beginning shifting into 2nd by itself, kewish advised me to reset the battery to fix the issue, it worked for the better half of 6 months.

Then just an issue where it wasnt selecting 4th under wot and kept kicking back into 3rd. box had gotten hot and stripped a gear. $1500 later got the box fixed again in march this year and added a tranny cooler. things were great for the better part of "6" months, then last night I was practise launching, and only 1 or 2 stalls later the box tripped out and selected 2nd n 3rd while flashing on the dash and a loud howling noise came from the auto. Im going to be calling kewish for some reimbersment

I have a couple of mates both with turbo 400's and C4's that are bullet proof in the 10's. That said they aren't daily drivers and only see about 2000kms of abuse a year... Glides are stronger, lighter and less drivetrain power loss but don't know what they're like to live with. Speak to Johnny with the mental g6et on here about it
