 Has anybody else experienced the Auto box slipping into neutral for several seconds when under sudden acceleration??? Had Ford take a look at it but they state nothing happened and could not find any fault.

This has happended twice when accellerating from 80km/hr to approx 120km/hr or greater and only in the first month..... it has been fine since but would like to know what happened????

Any clues would be appreciated... :ta:

A lot of T owners seem to report one time only funny little glitches, occasional stalling at idle etc, I think it has something to do with the ECUs.

If it only happened once and ford can't find a code fault I wouldn't lose too much sleep

the problem you desribed sounds like a lack of fluid. Its a sealed system that Ford can check. You stated they checked that so m out of ideas

At least they dont drop their guts if inadvertaly shifted into reverse or park. Yup a mate of mine gave me a blast on his new bike, so of course I gave him a drive of the T, showed him how the sequential shift worked but he lost the plot whist shifting from 2nd to third must have though he was in a manual and grabbed the shifter with then button held in and shifted from 2nd to third like you would in a manual, thrugh reverse and into park at 100+ kicks, heart neraly jumped into my mouth, but she just rolled along like nothing happened as I quickly shifted it back to D Where it stayed for the rest of the ride.

Cirkey,

thank goodness for anti dickhead devices. Even the old traumatics wouldn't engage in this instance as was unfortunate enough to witness some years back.
