Yes, it will open when you close the throttle, but not for the same reason the BOV releases.

I would say the Overboost valve is reacting quicker as there is a sudden spike in pressure when the throttle closes. The BOV will open as soon as the manifold returns to vacuum and allows the BOV piston to open

Marky just got the sheets today that have the boost on there, they ran a gradual 15.5psi to get about 390rwkw, and the run that has higher boost in the mid ran 16.2psi to make 384rwkw.

12.5 afr is a bit lean mate. should be about 12. better keep good fuel into it mate. she will ping.

I haven't noticed any pinging as of yet, checked my 3 other dyno sheets from the last car and they all show 12.5 AFR as well. I'll make some calls and work out whether its safe to run it like that or not.

I remember reading an artical about tuning fords in Zoom magazine...

Done at Morpowah.??

They tuned a car out to 15.5.. it obviously dropped power but it wasn't very much and they said it was still safe as houses..

I always thought 12.5 was optimal.??

Simon is an excellent tuner ( morpower ) he learnt alot from having one of the best in any tuning field mentour him ( martin donnon )

Those articles both simon and martin do for alot of magizines are always well within the bounds of safe , they have to be , public hang on every single word ......... Unfortunately

12 is optimal
