so I just got back from work and had a suss at the overboost valve, it appears that all the excess air is actually being pumped back through the turbo... not sure if this is good, bad or otherwise? anyway whilst away I got a nizpro flex plate kit fitted, got it lowered on king spring lows, earls oil feed line fitted and metal idle pulley. Also got some new number plates, not very original but got NOT270. goes in next wk to get the tune adjusted as its occasionally doing some weird sh*t where it'll hit a certain rpm and then just stop accelerating no matter what I do. fingers crossed they can draw another 10kws from it while its in there. starting to get used to the auto as well, its fantastic for doing mad foot on brake burnouts!

yeah quite happy with it now Mark. something definitely freed up inside it and it goes significantly better now then when it was first tuned, im hoping that as I put more kilometers on it that it will continue to get better, have only accumulated 2100km on it so far.

Hey mate what mods are done to the gt35 , I thought that 320-330 was all these were good for.

stock FG turbo is only good for 320-330, the gt35 turbo is what is found on the F6 and the older BA and BF engines and is good for 400+kw. Mine has had the wastegate ported and a bigger actuator

Overboost valve shouldn't really open up at all, its more of a safety thing. Maybe they have it set a little too close to your boost levels. Did you do the valve springs?

good to know FG50T, I was extremely dissatisfied with it to begin with but it has gotten progressively better as I continued to drive it, I'll be stoked if this trend continues for a bit longer. Bigkeels the overboost valve is all good, I havent heard it release as of yet. originally I thought it was releasing but it was just the sound of the air getting pumped back through the turbo and out the filter. haven't done valve springs either. seem to be all good but I'd say they will go soft eventually.

So my hopes of making 400rwkw on 98 have been dashed. Took my car in today to my new tuner (Morpowa) for a tune and it made 361rwkw at 17psi. It doesn't feel any less powerful than when it made (supposedly) 390rwkw on a mainline dyno. Anyway very impressed with how much smoother the car runs.

So the bearings in my turbo started to sh*t themselves yesterday, I'm not sure whether it was a lack of oil getting to it (used an earls oil line) or if something had happened to it during the crash in my last FG. Anyway I dropped it in to morpowa today to get a GTX3582 fitted and figured if I'm gonna make some good figures I better get my tailshaft strengthened. So will pick it up in a couple of weeks when I get back from work.
