ok, so my BA motor has cooked its sh**T so im in the process of building my motor with all forged internals, I intend to buy

Plazmaman 1000hp cooler

Plazmaman Plenum

Plazmaman Turbo Side Intake

I already have surge tank and pump

my aim is for about the 450Rwk mark so what I was wondering for one is the stock turbo going to be able to produce these results? if not ive heard the comment "GTX turbo" a fair bit and was reading in a magazine about these new turbos that are making full boost at like 2000rpm...

im a complete novice when it comes to turbo's I can get my head around everything else but im buggered for what one to look at buying (if I need to)

pretty much in a nut shell my question is what turbo do I buy in order to produce 450rwk? opinons..

thanks in advance :)

Check the advertiser section under Cresent Motorsport he is selling the GTX 35/82r very cheap. Best to get on his section and ask some questions.

The gtx35 will save a heap of work, still bolt up to stock exhaust location and cooler piping etc. and make 450-460 on e85

Standard turbo with a bigger wastegate actuator will be fine and still pick up boost at 2500 to 2800rpm with all Plazaman gear

Option 2 gt42r with twin scrolls and waste gate closing one scroll to 7psi and have your usual wastegate setup controlling the lot still. Custom manifold matching runners and 4in dump and etc

Recommend larger valves max 3mm better than cams I believe. Cams can have to much of a lobe and allow boost to sneak out the exhaust port. Cams are cheaper option. If you can afford porting out your head would allow more flow.

Use an fg or bf head the have better dual VCt than ba if you use that head of one of those series you have to change the PCM as far as I know and get ford to make the PCM talk to the bem.

Most people for a simple turbo upgrade are looking towards the gtx3582R but I guess it depends alot on the fuel and boost you want to run. As a reference I am getting 455 from a gtx on an fg running E85 and roughly 20psi.

GTX3582r or if you want more, at the expense of lag, look into the HTA3586r etc from forced performance. All bolt into the T3 flanges ford turbine housing.
