Kizz3r1 New Member 7 Member For: 12y 10m 4d Posted 16/10/12 06:41 AM Author Share Posted 16/10/12 06:41 AM (edited) sooooo....today I drove to work as per normalget a call about 20mins later from home saying theres a trail of oil down the drive way that continues down the streetI was like what the f*ck cant be my car(checked for an oil light on or something and there was nothing) so I put it down to it must have been a water trail from the aircon or something3mins later I was at work cars idling fine no lights park it inside to have a look under and itbam oil f*cking everywhereI was like WTF so I went down to repco (IN THE WORK CAR) got a jack and some oil some spanners and stuff just incasejack it up and had a look grabbed the oil filter and it was like 3-4 full turns loose?has this ever happend to anyone else before??I haven't even had the car serviced yet as the dealer said they did it just before I purchased the carso I got a new filter and oil started it and it sounds fine.what are the chances the bearings in this motor are now f*cked?there was still about 2 1/2 liters of oil in it as I dropped what was left in it out to measure.as I understand it the pump fills the filter then the oil goes to the rest of the motor? so oil pissing out at filter means no oil to rest of motor = dead everything? Maybe post in the engine workshop (if you haven't already)
