It's basically oil & filter change & a few other formalities but my question is does the car need to be services at Ford to not void warranty.I currently have a standard 3 yr new car warranty & have not paid for any further extended warranties or anything like that.I have gone through all the servicing & log books & I can't see anywhere where it says you must take your car to a ford dealer or you void warranty.I am not on any fixed price serve schedule or anything so I figure that it I but all the ford recommended lubricants & filters & whatever else the service manual suggests & I'll keep all the receipts for future proof, then take my car to close mates workshop who's a approved MTA workshop & then I can make sure my beast gets services properly by a top mechanic while I wait & watch,I'll tell yoy ford would never be able to service this good Coz they simply don't care.Is anyone in the same situation or know a little more about the servicing warranty & about it being void, my mechanic says that if I have not paid for any extra extended warranty with fixed price servicing then as long as you use the recommended gear keep all receipts & take the car to an MTA approved workshop it's all good re warranty. Because quite simply from what everyone says on forums about bad dramas they've had with ford service or lack of it everything from paying for things that never actually get replaced to cars coming back with scratches/dings etc.Anyone with any knowledge especially about the servicing & warranty, cheers guys ;-)

If it's a dealer warranty though that is a different story.Get your mate to do it and maybe spend some of the savings on a new keyboard with a functional enter key.

So you're all good. If there is anything to be fixed under warranty you'd have to take it to a Ford dealer.

I see it day in day out customers getting warranty for stuff that other manufacturers will make you pay for (rattles squeaks etc). My wife used to work for mitsubishi and we own a cj lancer with just over 20k on it and they wont pay for faded exterior trims but we do them all the time at ford I replaced a whole dash pad on a customers fg xr6t because it creaked when cornering after 60k, ask toyota or mitsubishi if they would cover that!Dont know where your gettin your info from but I feel your misinformed. Sure some if not half the dealers out there are bit iffy even useless but most will be as helpful as they can. They want your business!

But realistically I very much doubt that the ratio of dodgy to decent is higher amongst dealers than other workshops...you hear some absolute horror stories from the likes of Ultratune and the mechanics running out of the local servo.
