I only have oil pressure gauge in mine - I just watch the pressure as I start to lean on the gas a little more. When its cold the pressure heads towards 100psi fairly easily before 3500rpm - once its totally warm it won't go past 55-60psi under WOT

True, I think the mistake can be easily made by those that don't have an oil pressure or oil temp gauge though - simply relying on the engine temp gauge to know if its warm is dangerous as the oil takes a lot longer to be right up to temp

^^^this

in my Fg F6 when the water is at operating temp

the oil hasnt even made it to 1/4 yet (usually sits just after half)

still takes another few mins of driving before it catches up

I use 0-40 and don't boot it untill oil pressure drops. Mine will hit 100psi cold no worries and yeah it takes a while to drop pressure after a cold start.
