I been observing how long its taking me from start up till when I give it a boot and oil pressure doesnt go through the roof...after about 15min temp gauge around 80deg and pressure doesnt go above 60psi under WOT...giving quarter throttle on cold oil pressure goes well up over 80psi, I would hate to see what pressure cold oil gets to under WOT im gonna say 120+psi??? cant be good anyway

so everyone please...

WARM UP YOUR OIL!

did not want to read this but I did :(

Yeah mate if you like to rev your motor hard like I do you should get them done. Not worth blowing them like I did. Car is sitting outside dead until next week when my tuner could get me in. Don't even want to think about what it's gonna cost me :(

When we pulled down my motor you could see alot of wear on the gears. I have now got an atomic pump but had my engine not sh*t itself due to timing chain letting go it would have been a matter of time before the pump died. My vote is do it for sure.

Excellent advice, oil temp gauge was a good investment, never realised how long it took for the oil to get up to temp.

It takes way longer than the water temp.

I have done oil temp and pressure in my last 3 xr's and im definatly going to do it in my next, boost/vac, oil temp and oil pressure...best gauge combo IMO.

That's what I run in my tripod too. Would love AFR though. And trans temp.
