Being a manual and looking to tune very soon, should I do oil pump gears or not? it's bloody confusing as some say yes and some say no.

Also whats the average cost and whats involved in putting them in?

Any particular Brand I should be looking at, Atomic $610 through Tuff car parts..Spool imports do them for $475 and Herrod which have no price.

Is there any other brand out there aswell.

This is how it goes.

Can you afford or are looking at a built/new block any time soon?

Yes = don't bother with oil pump gears in your current engine

No = get them done with the rest of the mods.

They will help that's for sure. Is a tailshaft or input shaft necessary? The guys that broke them will say yes, the guys that didn't will say no and the guys selling them will always say yes.

What power figure are you aiming for anyway?

Well with everything I got, cannot see why I cannot hit the 400+ mark. Always turn of traction control SDP, but when wheel spinning does it hit limter?

The traction control used to kill the gears in b series because of how aggressive it is. Similar to the limiter.

If I were in your position I would do them but if I was to pull the engine apart in 6-12 months anyway I wouldn't bother because you can get a block cheap as anyway.
