Hey, received delivery of my 09 xr6t on Wed. Took it for a drive through The local country side here in Adelaide (Mclarenvale, Willunga). It is an awesome drive, I love the car and am pretty happy with the power it produces from the stock set-up. The premium sound is nothing ridiculous but sounds good. I think the next step is a cold air intake.

Cheers

Nice one.

Love the torque levels when accelerating hey. Though would feel a bit different being an FG with faster spooling turbo.

Lookin good. Next thing to do is head along to a cruise to share the excitement! Drive it safe dude and look forward to the mods that unleash the potential.

The more I drive this car the more I love it. Unreal how willing it is to just want to smoke the tires with ease! I can't imagine what it could do with some of the mods others have done to theirs on this forum! I'm a pretty tame and safe driver but this thing is an effing tease!

Done it already. Fair improvement. Have some decent alpine splits that are being under powered in my rodeo and might put them in the front. Might also get jaycar 8" to replace factory sub. Only $30 ATM. If it isn't much better its not like it put me out of pocket.

Cheers

Hey mate, do a search for the subwoofer modification on the FG premium sound. There is a thread on here and on AFF about. But basically from the boot remove the 3 white clips holding the trim under the parcel shelf. Once you see the sub, unplug the connector, remove the retaining clip holding the metal connectors in the plastic plug, remove and swap the two wires over in the plug (reverse the polarity) and put it all back together.

I did this yesterday and also applied about 0.25sqm of Dynamat around the sub and the difference is undeliverable :spoton:

The FG XR6T is the shizz for sure :)
