Makes me wonder if 9 and abit hrs is really that far to drive :)

we had a car from interstate in the shop this week and we used our set up to test his fuel setup, was a lot better than the results I have fron Bels car at present

The Bosch 044 is rated to; N-Heptane (test fluid)

flow 200 lph @ 72 PSI @12v = 420 fwkw

Our testing; Petrol

approx flow 220lph @ 72 PSI @ 13.8v = 450 fwkw

approx flow 260lph @ 58 PSI @ 13.8v = 525 fwkw

Our testing; E85

approx flow 220lph @ 72 PSI @ 13.8v = 360 fwkw

approx flow 260lph @ 58 PSI @ 13.8v = 420 fwkw

As per testing, running at 4 bar (58psi) will allow more fuel delivery while achieving perfect injector atomisation.

We are now seeing more and more power delivered from both the Turbo and V8 models. On our KPM dyno the results above equate to seeing many vehicles running lean at middle to top end with a 1 pump set up. This is the primary reason we have developed our Streetfighter Twin Intank Pump Module system. Along with our KPM1000cc/KPM2000cc Injectors,it is a once only solution if you are upgrading to any higher power level, with the ability to run continuous 750kw on Petrol and 600kw on E85.

get an adjustable fpr and crank the pressure to 50 psi or so. 044 will laugh at it no probs. also as said the pump should be receiving 14v or thereabouts at idle. an extra pump would still be a good idea though I recon. u should see how much fuel jap cars need to make 400kw on e85 its ridiculous.

This wouldn't work..

The standard 4 bar reg is 58psi anyway which is only 8psi higher than what you have mentioned also when the fuel pressure dropped below 50ish psi that's when it started to go ugly also showing that the pump couldn't keep up to maintain pressure the 4 bar pressure in the rail.

Even if the car was happy to run at 50psi I dont think the sed pump would have pissed it in anyways by just using an adj. fpr.

What KPM has said backs up what was physically happening on the day as well in relation to being not enough pump for the job.

Like I said in the prev. posts I'll be going a A1000 pump with an aftermarket drop in reg.

I leave that to Spiro, but it has been running the A1000 and the same e85 tune for a year.

The car has completed over 80 quarter mile passes and does about 600 klms a week.

If there was a pressure issue would it not have shown itself Mick, or is it something that has to be tested in a certain way?

The fuel pressure will be higher than stock at idle and low rpm if the reg has not been replaced or modified.

This can be tuned around or some just leave it and have the fuel trims try to take care of it.

It may not show any issues though to you while driving.

It is best to tune from the start though with the correct pressure.

yeah I know mate that's y I posted after that my bad. I had no idea they ran that much fuel pressure standard. typically its 36psi at idle. normal. but not in these beasts. u wouldnt think standard fuel pumps were too bad holding up to that amount pressure though would ya ? and imo I would not touch the standard reg mate stock is perfect if they are running 4 bar !! u would never need to go higher than that on a street car so if u got an after market one u would still keep it at 4 bar lol would be throwing money away.
