Bought a steering rack for my old EL and bolted it in. Turns out it was EB rack and was all f*cked up. Still drove it down the road for a wheelo and the dudes just laughed at me. Took said rack back to wreckers and called him a *beep*. Supplied a full reco EL one for no additional charge.

Caused big engine bay fire putting battery in wrong way and hitting the starter on my old datto. (Was drunk). Did the same thing the next day with the spare shell I had (was moving it into shed to strip loom as a replacement that I had just borked). Wasn't drunk.

Once at Qantas as an apprentice my safety vest got caught up in the circuit breaker panel behind the captains seat of a 737 300. Thought I reset them all but plane returned to gate just prior to depature. Offload all pax, organise another airframe, defuel plane and tow to run bay. Start functional checks, find breaker popped for no reason, reset it run the engines and no problem. Funny that haha. Would have cost near on 30k I reckon.

Fessed up to boss as soon as plane returned to bay and he was really good about it.
Haha. f*cking tapatalk has rooted that post now. Ghey.

I have heaps of dumb stories from Qantas hey. From people driving stairs into airframes to leaving tools and sh*t in engines, to one of my mates writing off a qantas ute drifting around the service road between sydney international and domestic airports. Took out the fence than seperates the airport from Qantas drive. Was not licensed to drive - had his learners in the outside world and definately was not licensed by Sydney Airport Corporation. AFP got involved, he got off due to his father being very high up in Qantas Engineering.

put new brakes pads rotors and fluid on gtr. pulled dash out shortly after and snapped brake light sensor off. no big deal replaced it .... went for a spin and thought wow brakes are awesome !!! then 100m after felt some resistance, and car got a bit hot ... looked in my mirror saw smoke from the wheels and knew straight away what I done. I screwed the adjuster in too far on the sensor when I replaced it so the brakes were on all the time, bout 1/5 of the way pushed in ...... idiot.

My missus has a BA falcon - Had the common heater issue

Took apart the whole dash, put the selector in drive and took out all the shrouding.

Then needed to take the handbrake out so I could get a little more room.

Of course I didn't even think of chocking the car - I wasn't doing any body/engine work?

As soon as I took the handbrake off the car rolled back into the garage door with me in it - FAIL.

In my defence, The handbrake was still in the on position, just not connected....

Funny thing was, when it was rolling, all I could think about was grabbing the handbrake.
