My ex had my car while I went to targa and I had her golf, got home and went to reverse out of my driveway and after 2 weeks of racing and no sleep left the door open on her car as I backed out, peeled it back good on the fence.

When I was an apprentice went to reverse a car off a hoist with the door open and used my left foot on the throttle, accidentally floored it into off the hoist into an MX-5.

plenty more I'm sure, had people start cars in gear and go straight into the wall

Fitted my earls oil line. Left one fitting loose under the intake manifold. Drove 20kms. Run it outta oil. Had no phone or wallet or money or shoes as I was just test driving. Had to go into the store I stopped in front of to borrow the phone. Then had a mental blank and nearly forgot my missuses number.

She came, I fixed it in the shopping centre car park. Drove home shamed out.

I learnt your never to smart or too old or too experienced to leave something loose 100% of the time so always check your own work.

P.S. Cars still going strong even after also running the gear box outta oil, this wasn't my fault. Rock on road met plastic pan.

changing brake pads.

Using a ratchet and socket to undo one of the caliper bolts (on the rear I think).

as I was undoing it it jammed the ratchet into part of the suspension (socket was too long).

so its jammed in there between the calliper and the suspension but I cant get to the direction selector at the back of the ratchet because its jambed (I thought I did but I just jamed it even more).

then I was installing a stereo in an old camira once and was using a standard 240v light globe on a lead without any protective cage around it - yep it came loose from the grab handle and melted a nice hole in the seat.
