Is This Gap Normal?

Was changeling the diff oil yesterday and noticed this gap in the drivers side bush for the diff ( correct me if its not the bush ).

These photos are taken from on my back looking up at the diff.

It's quite a significant gap, and looking across to the other side there's no gap at all, it's hard pressed into the hole.

Is this normal? Or does it need fixing?

It's hard to tell in the photo, but it looks like one side has collapsed.

The round disc is supposed to sit out from the cradle, but it should be centred - is that the case?

Irrespective - its more than a year old, needs diff bushes...
