xrBlitz Member 19 Member For: 16y 3m 22d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 22/09/12 11:20 AM Share Posted 22/09/12 11:20 AM Hey, I have a bf2 turbro and am looking to do a service, I looked on the Castrol website and they recommend Castrol Edge 0w40, and Castrol Magnatec 10w40, I also noticed I need 6.6Lt of oil, just wondering if it would be ok to mix 5Lts Castrol Edge 0w40 fully synthetic with 1.6Lts of Castrol Magnatec semi synthetic? I like the idea of the Magnatecs added protection on start up, but I'm unsure on mixing full syn with semi syn also the different thinkness. Some people have some good to say about the Nulon 10-40 for these cars also if you're looking for something cheaper then edge.
