Picked up the car from Nizpro Friday after fitting a new turbo ( gtx3582r) tuned on e85 on low boost 16psi it made 413rwk could have gone heaps more but I have a stock auto and bottom end and didn't want them going boom when I get them strengthened give it a retune and see what it makes with more boost.

Mods are:

Gtx 3582r

Nizpro 4" dump

Nizpro 4" stainless steal exhaust

Nizpro valve springs

Drilled xr6 injectors

Surge tank

Nizpro big big cooler

K&n filter

With the small turbo tuned on e85 (300rwk) it ran 11.81 @118mph with a 1.87 60ft can't wait to get to the track and see how I go now :-)

What type of difference in feel do you get with the different turbo?

I'm in pretty much the same situation as you (But on 98) , thinking of changing up to gtx3582r.

Also, any plans of driveline strengthening ? (Other than box you mentioned)

that's the main thing stopping me, the cost of getting built drivetrain parts.

Thanks mate the bigger turbo doesn't have as much punch down low but when it hits 3000rpm all hell breaks loose it just keeps pulling and really puts u in the seat I think it's a more drivable combo for the street. My plans are to buy an f6 next year and palm the xr to the misses take all the goodies off it give it a smaller tune and put the parts on the f6, strengthen the bottom end auto and tailshaft and really get some use out of the gtx. If my plan of getting the f6 falls through then il be doing these mods to the xr6 instead either way I do intend to do some strengthening more for reliability sake..

well done mate,got to be happy with the new found power..how does the gtx feel compared to the gt35/40?

interesting, currently have around the 330kw mark

also ran 11.82 @ 124mph with a 1.97 60 ft.

getting a gtx put on so also interested in power and times at the track!

my brothers FG ute is also making 413rwkw on 16psi (GTX35) but 98 fuel. Taking it to the drags this wednesday to see how it runs!
