Heard a VW golf go past me today 'farting' on change and even that sounded alright.Noise aside, I think a small amount of spark cut to take a bit of load off the trans is not a bad option actually. Given input shafts have been 'snapping a plenty' since ZF tunes came to be, I can see why people are looking at this option. My shifts don't slam in so I'd be keen on hearing how much firmness you would lose if running say 1/2 the original fart duration.
