if you were serious you should build the motor to be able to sit on high revs, Although these motors will rev, they are used to sit on low revs, not in their upper rpm range.

Hey ratter,

I'd ultimately want it with lots of midrange torque like other guys have said. Just wondering if these engines are happy to be revved to around 4500 5000. If you rekon a built engine is still a ggood idea it wil give me an excuse to miss the gtx35 that I was planning and go a 42 instead haha.

Agree with above, purpose built motor, dry sump. DLM have something that revs pretty stupidly. I think Pat has the right idea get a drift pig and leave the ford for road duties or towing duties of the drift machine.

It all depends on how much money you have to spend, double it, then if you still have enough money to cover it build it and it will rev.

Go to wreckers, buy multiple old taxi motors. Tune to 350 with a 3076 on e85 and learn to change motors yourself.

Big surge tank is a definite.

Tom that's gold! E85 AND small turbo sounds good... I think it would just be cool to see an fg Ute doing some decent drifting...after alot of practice that is. Going up an undriven mountain when it's wet near mine has me hooked!
