Sounds like somethings up with the pump/gears/ set up install ....... Or uve got a blockage ina oil gallery/'s

Only thing I can think of the builder said he had to do some milling to get the atomic street girdle to fit. I was pretty sure you only had to mod the race plate. Does anyone know if the girdle sits very close to the oil pickup ?

The other thing that keeps popping up when talking between the builder and the dyno shop is the fact that the rods have 30thou of side clearence. The standard rods have 10thou

I'm just got no idea and its driving me bonkers

Urr that's weird

Spool rods are balanced already, did the builder balance and blueprint the assembly ? that's the only reason I can think why the extra clearance is there

If the supplyed parts are true and correct then its in the builders hands

Not passing any blame across but a builder will weigh and measure even new supplied parts so he knows that hardwear is fine to begin with

Well dude it looks like it needs to be pulled down and start with a good wash clean and re measure/assemble

Somethings going to rear its ugly head

I thought spool rods are made that way to try and keep the engine quieter and I think ull find even atomic rods are similarly offset... Cld be wrong though... Hope u get to the bottom of it either way...

So got a question for everyone. Does anyone know if the factory VCT cam gears are meant to bleed oil ? Th exhaust one is leaking more than the intake one. I asked brad from atomic and he's pretty sure that they aren't meant to.

average improvement total 6.34 cfm intake.

average from .200 valve lift to .500 valve lift exhaust before mods 162.26 cfm

average from .200 valve lift to .500 valve lift exhaust after mods 171.25 cfm

any updates on the build?

Well got a call on Monday from the builder and he said he change the VCT gears and re pressurised the system and the gears did not leak as much as the original set, so fingers crossed that was the problem. The builder also said that because the gears aren't able to be checked normally that he is not going to pay for the 2 times the motor came out.

Wait and see that this was the problem.
