haha cheers. wasnt to sure if it was needed. The fg's have that fan that stays on anyways to help cool it down a bit more anyways?

better to be on the safe side.

By the way jealous of the new turbo...adding 100rwkw just from that?! ffaaarrkk me that's a good install option haha

Ye dropped it off to Dave at Nizpro this morning and had a bit of a chat his going to do a safe tune at about 400 till I get the cash together for an input shaft and all the rest and then really get the most out of it, it should still be pretty wild but that's what he recommended so il go with that I trust those guys they really know there stuff so who am I to argue hopefully all going well il be picking it up Friday. Can't wait

Had you considered going bigger then the 35 or is it the cost of doing new dump pipe etc that's detering you?

I used to run a GTX42 and was really happy with how it well the car responded. It was on a stock FG F6 motor and tuned to 471rwkw's on BP98.

No hiro it never crossed my mind to be honest I got this one cos I'm planing an f6 for myself next year and wanted to bolt it on and just swap the f6 one to the xr but knowing me I might even go something bigger on that but maybe do the bottom end too. Any one got a rough idea how much it would cost to do a stronger bottom end on a fg??

I did the same as you and the difference is unfnbelievable. Added another 100rwkw:) u will not be happier. It just pulls so much harder for so much longer than small turbo. It will scare the living sh!t out of you when you drive out of Nizpro. I gave them a call within 2 min of driving out and said "Fark! How fn insane is this!" It's scary. It's fun. I will be smiling from ear to ear. Go for it.

Hahaha good post!!

Hey got the car back today from Nizpro fitted with the new gtx dave did a very conservative tune, tuned on only 16psi (can go 22-23) took a little out of the midrange so save the zf from going BOOM and the car made 413rwk on e85 it will stay like this till I do the input shaft and tune the zf and then smash in some more boost and get it up about the 450rwk mark, let me just say I liked the small turbo tuned to 342rwk very responsive down low but when this big turbo kicks in its like a slap in the face pulls so hard and just doesn't wana stop its insane and I love it can't wait to do the input shaft now and see wat it's really capable off..
