I asked the same q as OP and also had Autotech tune the car. 277rwkw at 14-12psi. Came to the conclusion its using boost not timing to make the power and im guessing this is safer?

Cat

42lb

Monza

F6 snorkel

Really should get a touch up as its now got plazmaman replacement cooler and ubp, hot side pipes. Thing is im happy with how it drives and would prefer to get poly bushes throughout

Also worth mentioning that there is quite a few tuning tables that modify the final spark figure. So you may roll off the dyno with a nice high figure for the boost level but on the street its pulling timing and killing mph. I've seen tuners turn the knock sensors off on the dyno, do a nice tune and then turn the knock sensors back on before handing the keys over. Uncalibrated knock sensors in a BA generally 'rape' timing, as does over aggressive modifiers for air and coolant temp correction. SO in the end of the day, don't worry too much about the dyno figure. Just because its low doesn't mean the mph will be low....it might actually be that its a better representation of what's happening on the street/track. All the big name tuners are good at what they do, so if you have any doubts give them a call for a full run-down.
