What's the ideal configuration for the premium audio system? These are my premium audio settings:

Bass: +4

Treble: +4

Balance: 0

Fade: 0

DSP: Off

CD Compression: Off

Power Limiting: On

I think that's the same settings I have mine set at - there is no right or wrong setting, as said above, it's personal choice.

It also depends how loud you have the volume too. And I've also noticed that it depends on if you're listening to a CD or the radio.

The balance and fade settings you have are only correct if you have the stereo set up for 4 people in the car.

If you are the main person using it most of the time, then the bias should be forward and to the right. (Approx right fade +2 and forward +2). You can set this for the "Driver only" position on the stereo settings (cant remember that screen name). By default its already set at +2, +2 for driver only from memory.

If you have a passenger most of the time, the bias should be centered and forward. (Forward +2). Unless you are like me and still usually keep it on "driver-optimised" settings!

You can change the settings on the seating position thing without any problem, although in general the default settings on that are good.

It makes music much better if you select the driver-only settings, as it puts your seat in the sweet spot.

Treble and bass depend on your tastes and also the music type and quality of the recording. The subwooffer isnt as good as it could be (its OK, just not excellent) so will only handle so much bass.

Powerlimiting on is good as most people dont know the sound of clipping when they hear it, and it will save them rooting their speakers.

Im not yet a convert to compression, and havent noticed it does much that is good. Havent remembered to try it whilst cruising continually at 100-ish yet. Maybe its good then.

DSP is personal taste. Ive found in general most are not very good (more a gimmick than useful), although Studio is the best. I usually drive with Studio set on.
