You only need 2 lineal metres of film for the roof. So that approx $100 in material (Avery) plus approx $200-250 for 2 hours of labour to fit.

I would not pay more than $400 for a roof wrap to be honnest.

Anyone from WA chasing Avery or Arlone Vinyl Wrap see business card below.

Most should recognize address as the same street as Monsta Torque.

I do believe they can order other bands also.

Avery gloss black was $50.50

a meter.

What vinyl did you use? ebay special? looking at wrapping mine any tips or tricks I need to know about before tackling it?

Cheers

Yea mate ebay special off a mob in Sydney. Business is called Biz Supplies and they use ebay primarily to see.

Tips:

- Clean the car well and just do each panel with wax and grease remover as you do it

- take off whatever panels you can. I didn't take my bumpers off through sheer laziness and I regret it because you can see the joins especially around the foggies

- Start from the flatest part of the surface and work your way to curves because you can stretch around them at the end. I did doors from top down. Side skirts from front to back. QUarters started in the middle (height wise) then went up and down etc. I would start with doors first, I found them to be the easiest

- Other than that get a mate to give you a hand and you will owe him a few beers at the end of it all lol

Any tips? Don't buy sh*t, it'll cause you endless headaches trust me. But decent stuff, and you won't be ripping your hair out applying it, prep prep prep, take your time and always work from the centre out to the edges or too down like a quater panel. Only heat when you have to and once your done, run some heat over the whole thing to solidify it!

I haven't used 3m, avery or the like but I can't complain with the application of the cheaper stuff. It has air release backing and creases easily straighten back out with heat. The biggest (potential) problem is residue sticking to the surface on removal but yet to deal with that and will update when I do. No doubt the better brands would be much better for someone on a budget it worked and have had plenty of positive comments despite my short cuts lol

Does anyone know roughly how many meters needed to wrap a car? Wrapping an xr6 not including the roof as doing it in black.

20m without roof will get you by. I bought 30m just to be safe as it wasn't all that much more expensive.
